    Colonel James Goodwin Hall, left, and Major George W. Gregg are standing next to each other. These two men directed history's biggest photographic assignment over Normandy beaches where the invasion began early Tuesday, June 6. Colonel Hall, chief of the AAF Reconnaissance Division and former Fort Worth resident, and Major Gregg, who served on Hall's staff as chief intelligence officer of the photographic reconnaissance organization in the European theater of operations. They personally flew over the Normandy beaches and both wish they were there now. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 7, 1944.
