Description

The Fort Worth Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) celebrated a centennial banquet and final building debt liquidation observance. Burning the last note for $27,580.14 of the YMCA indebtedness at the centennial banquet is the president, aided by four past presidents. At the speakers table, left, W. D. Smith, toastmaster; Paul S. Hayward (standing) general secretary; Lieutenant Commander J. Barry Holton, officer in charge of the Naval Air Primary Training Command's regional office, Dallas; and Dr. C. P. Schenck, YMCA president. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 7, 1944.
