Description
Brevis Manuel Gregston Seaman First Class, received th Purple Heart posthumously. He was killed in action May 7, 1942 in the Coral Sea Battle. He was previously wounded while on guard duty on the Neosho during the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Mr. Gregston spent three months in the hospital before returning to his ship in late February. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Gregston. He is pictured in his military uniform.
