Description
A group of children, stand and pose for a picture. These children took prominent roles in the De Zavala May festival, presented at the school on Friday night. Left to right, Mildred Trotter, representing Norway; Paul Paulkner, dressed in a Scottish costume; Coe Scruggs, prime minister; Jacquelyn Ferree, the queen; Bert Charles Hammack, maid of honor; Nathan Brown, garbed as a Norwegian boy, and Wilda Dee Carpenter, representing Denmark. Nearly all the nations of the world, represented by pupils, participated in folk dances before the queen and her court. Published on May 18, 1940.
