Captain James Ernest Erwin was promoted to Major. He works in the Army finance office in the Transportation Building in Fort Worth, Texas. Major Erwin is a native of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Before entering the army, he was general auditor and accountant for Mississippi Power Company. He is a graduate of the Army Finance School at Duke University.
