Description

City Fire Department. Rookie T. C. McPherson, left, aids rookie Jack D. Rich in getting a hose up a ladder. Rich, a holder of the Purple Heart, saw action with the Marines on Guadalcanal. McPherson was with the Army Air Forces at Kelly Field before receiving his medical discharge. Mr. Rich is climbing up a latter with a fire hose over his right shoulder. Mr. McPherson is next to the ladder also holding the fire hose over his right shoulder.
