Description
J.B. Holcomb is a vice president of the H. J. Heinz Company, asserted in an address at the opening session of the association's annual convention at Hotel Texas. Holcomb cautioned that attempts to put across grade-labeling legislation in Congress have not ended, and that restaurant owners and other business owners must continue to be on guard. He advised the restaurant owners to keep up the quality of service under the stress of war time labor shortage and the handicap of decreased quantity, quality and variety of food, because if you lower the quality, you lose not only the respect of your customers but of your employees also. In this picture, J.B. Holcomb is sitting at a table, with table cloth, that has a glass of water and a bowl of matches on it. There is a man sitting to the left of him and another standing to the right. Mr. Holcomb has on a three piece suit, shirt and patterned, silk tie. There is a name tag on is lapel.
