Description
Portrait of First Lieutenant (Lt.) Carroll G. Henry of San Angelo, Texas, who was reported missing on a bomber flight over New Guinea since April 16. The War Department confirmed his safe return to the base and notified his sister, Miss Beulah M. Henry of San Angelo. Portrait shows Henry wearing his bomber uniform with headset. He was the navigator on the flight and was the only Texan aboard. He received his wings in February, 1943. He is son of John S. Henry, a former oil man at San Angelo. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 7, 1944.
