Description
T. B. Kizer, boiler maker first class, just back from his eighth trip across the Atlantic on a destroyer, is visiting his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Kizer, 3106 Stanley. T. B. Kizer is a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has served overseas during 16 months of his two years in the Navy. He was in two major engagements at Salerno, but the sailor reports that his worst experience was with a hurricane, encountered by his ship on Christmas day. The storm lasted five days. In this picture, he is standing against the wall and is shown wearing his Navy Uniform with three chevron stripes, ribbon bar and medal. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, May 7, 1944.
