Description

Lieutenant Commander C. L. Mosher, Washington, D. C. Chief enrolling officer for the Maritime Service, emphasized that Texas men were greatly desired by the Maritime Service as 3,000 Texans have enrolled in the past two years. The goal is to enroll 150 men a month from this area to man the ships which will take urgently needed supplies to all fronts. Men ages 26-35 are wanted for 3-6 months training before they go to sea as seamen ; men up to age 50 will be accepted for cooks and bakers training. The Enrolling office is located at 1901 Bryan Street, Dallas. Photograph is of Mosher wearing a double breasted uniform with 3 stripes on each sleeve and a collared shirt.and tie.
