Description
Private and Mrs. Roy McCollum whose three-day honeymoon was ended with his departure for an undisclosed station. Their romance began during McCollum's service in the West Indies, where the father of the bride, the former Miss Doreen Reid, operate a sugar plantation. They were married at the home of the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Marcia McCollum. In this picture, Private McCollum is sitting on the arm of a sofa, leaning next to Mrs. McCollum, with his right arm behind her and his left hand on hers. He is wearing a pinky ring, wrist watch, and military uniform. Mrs. McCollum is sitting on a sofa with her left hand resting in her lap. She is wearing necklace, dress, blouse and blazer. The blouse has a lace trimmed collar. Behind them are multi-textured curtains. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, April 19, 1944.
