Track meet. Jackie Robinson, of the Paschal Panthers going over the bar at 5 feet 9 inches in the long jump event. Robinson was one of the favorites but unfortunately the Masonic Home's track and field athletes won the District 7-AA championship, Friday night at Farrington Field.. The Masons scored 45 point to beat our Paschal, which totaled 33. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 15, 1944.
