Description
The Fort Worth, Texas Red Cross Blood Donor mobile unit launched a series of out-of-town stands, to include Ardmore, Oklahoma. Many donors crowded the temporary center, American Legion Hall and waited hours in long lines outside. Mrs. W. T. Huckobey was the first donor to arrive and waiting the longest for her turn. She is shown sitting down, wearing a floral print dress, and holding a donor information card. She has one son in the Army and another in the Navy. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 14, 1944.
