Sara Shannon's oil painting of "Country House," is an honorable mention at the Local Artist Show. It is exhibited in the gallery of the Public Library. The painting is of a two-story Victorian-styled house with a large tree in the front yard and some trees in the back, in a country setting. There are clouds in the sky. The painting will be presented in a gallery talk, Sunday afternoon April 23 by Sallie Gillespie. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 23, 1944.
