    Description

    J. P. Elder Junior High School is the best drilled platoon within the ranks of Fort Worth's Reserve Officers' Training Corps (R. O. T. C.) Junior High School Units. The cadets are instructed by Sergeant William Cherry. They are, left to right, on the front row, Eddie Engleman, Winton Cross, J. B. Burnett, B. Kleinecke, E. Comer, J. Garrison, G. Moon, and B. J. King. On the second row are E. McCarty, T. A. Burns, G. W. Hall, H. G. Brown, G. R. Murphy, A. Cates, M. D. Blackmon, and H. O. Stevens. On the third row are E. E. Rankin, F. J. Cozby, J. D. Curry, R. Williams, R. E. Porter, A. Castillo, F. C. Cates, and B. E. Harvey. The cadets are lined up outside the school and are dressed in their uniforms.
