Mrs. John K. Godwin Junior (Jr.), the former Miss Kathleen Bardwell, married Lieutenant (Lt.) John K. Godwin Junior (Jr.). Kathleen is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bardwell, 2205 Ashland and lieutenant Godwin is son of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Godwin, 3412 E Belknap. Mrs. Kathleen Godwin is standing behind a dining table that is covered in lace, decorated with candlesticks and a flower centerpiece. She is wearing a herringbone patterned dress suit, pockets and collar trimmed in velvet. Her shirt collar and sleeves have ruffles. She is wearing a saucer hat. Behind her are window blinds with floral curtains and a sideboard with a small potted plant. To the left near the window is a hanging porcelain plate on the wall. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 9, 1944.
