Description
Technical Sergeant Elworth B. McAnally, Liberator engineer, son of Mr. and Mrs. McAnally of Duffau. McAnally has been authorized to wear the Distinguished Unit Badge, representing the presidential unit citation of the 98th Bombardment Group for its part in the August 1, 1943 raid on Ploesti. He is stationed in Italy and has two brothers in the Navy, Lawrence B. McAnally now at Gulfport Mississippi, and Park McAnally, seaman first class in the South Pacific. A third brother, Lyman Gage, who was a radio technician in a tank unit received a medal of discharge from the Army and is now working for Consolidated Vultee at Fort Worth.
