Description

Ballots are being cast Saturday afternoon for the school trustee election in Fort Worth, Texas. Two of the election judges at the Fire Station, left to right are Mrs. George Gray and Mrs. Hattie Leftwich. Mrs. Gray is taking her turn in the voting booth while Mrs. Leftwich stamps a poll tax receipt. Mrs. Gray is wearing a button-up blouse with a polka-dot sweater. Mrs. Leftwich is dressed in a collared blouse. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 1, 1944.
