Description
Technician Sergeant Willard S. Williams, son of Mrs. M. P. Williams, has received a Purple Heart and commendation of the commanding general of the 36th Division for courage and initiative in Italy. He aided in the repair of a tank destroyer in the vicinity of Mount Cherico which successfully destroyed an enemy half track. He also directed mortar fire into German lines to help gain victory of the 36th Division drive on San Vittore. Portrait of Williams in military shirt and tie.
