Description
Tom Carvey, left, manager of Worth Club, and Miss Merlyn Gail Kothmann, Mason County 4-H Club member, shown with the champion steer of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Carvey purchased the steer and Miss Kothmann exhibited the steer at the show. They are standing outside a barn at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Carvey is wearing a suit and coat. Miss Kothmann is wearing a collared blouse, a blazer and trousers. She is holding the lead rope of her 900-pound steer named "Surprise." There is a parked car in the background, at left.
