Description
Roy B. Miller was elected President of Optimist Club at its Friday luncheon at the Worth Hotel. Terms for him and other members of the staff will commence April 1. Forty-nine years old, Miller was born in Springtown, Texas. Son of a physician, the late Doctor R. E. Miller of that community, and it's commercial representative of the Texas Electric Service Company, for which he began working 27 years ago. A Texas A & M ex-student, he went overseas with the 36th Division in World War I and served 11 months at the front. Recently he has been captain of Company C, 27th Battalion, Texas State Guard. Mr. Miller is standing against a wall. He's wearing a suit and glasses. Star-Telegram Morning March 18, 1944
