Mrs. Catherine Jane Halyard, member of a pioneer Texas family, celebrated her 87th birthday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Williams, 3426 Frazier Avenue. Mrs. Halyard, the former Miss Catherine Jane Mayhar, was born in Richmond, Texas. Her family moved to Weatherford, Texas when she was eight years old and she moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1916. On September 28, 1876 she was married to the late John A. Halyard. They had 11 children. Mrs. Halyard is standing behind a table with a birthday cake with many candles on it.
