Description
Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Graves, 1915 Avenue D, received a War Department telegram Sunday informing that their son, Staff Sergeant Wallace E. Graves, 26, has been missing in since January 23, 1944. Sergeant Graves is a member of the 141st Infantry Regiment of the 36th Division which only a few days ago was awarded a Presidential Citation for heroic action at Salerno. He joined the 36th Division in January, 1940, and went overseas in April , 1943. He was in the first wave landing on the beach at Salerno. The image is a portrait of Sergeant Graves in his military uniform. Star-Telegram Morning March 14, 1944
