Mrs. Claude Maer, Red Cross staff assistant, is the new manager of the Veterans Council of Fort Worth. The Council will serve as a clearinghouse of information for the returning veterans of World War II. Mrs. Maer is a native of Weatherford, Texas. She attended Randolph-Macon College at Lynchburg, Virginia. Her husband is an insurance man and her son, Captain Claude Maer Junior, is serving in the Army Air Forces. Mrs. Maer is sitting on a bench, wearing a button-up dress with a lace collar.
