Description
An explosion at the Pan-American Fireworks Company and lakeside community killed five and injured six. The picture shows the twisted fragments of corrugated iron roofing and the charred embers of the plant. The building was where they made simulated munitions to teach American military trainees the sights and sounds of real battle.
