Signal Corps aide. Miss Shirley Barnes, left, being interviewed by Miss Dorothy Ann Smith of the United States E.S. office. Miss Barnes was accepted as the first Signal Corps aide in the Texas recruitment campaign. She will train at the University of Texas before reporting to the Army Air Forces Signal Corps headquarters. Miss Barnes is wearing a checkered dress and a blazer. Miss Smith is wearing a blazer and skirt.
