Description
Wade Leuckie, 27, veteran, working for the Container Corporation as a tank inspector in the fuel cell department, where he makes the cardboard forms on which liquid rubber is poured to make self-sealing bullet-proof gasoline tanks for combat planes. He is shown sandpapering cemented seams of the cardboard forms. He is wearing a striped t-shirt. Mr. Leuckie enlisted in the infantry in February 1939 and was transferred two years later to the medical corps. He served as a wardmaster and a medical technician sergeant.
