Presley Darnell of the Headquarter Squadron of the AAFTC attached to Fort Worth AAF, seems pleased over the championship award, a silver ring, he is holding in his gloved hand. Sergeant Darnell whipped Tom Attra of San Antonio, three times state champion, and Corp. Donald Coombes, the blaster from Abilene, to gain the title in the light heavyweight division.
