Betsy Ross is the sports editor of the Abilene Reporter-News. She was in Fort Worth, Texas to cover the Texas Golden Gloves at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Miss Ross grew up with ten brothers and three sisters. She was the editor of her high school paper in Pecos, Texas. After graduation, she joined the Pecos Enterprise. A few years later, Miss Ross joined the Abilene Reporter-News as a reporter. It wasn't until Uncle Sam beckoned the reining sports editor that she became head of the department.
