Description
Captain and Mrs. J. V. Russell are sitting together on a couch. Captain Russell spent twenty-six years in military service, but was unable to put of a uniform due to his age. His personal representatives are the couple's four sons and their four daughter's husbands. Seven of the eight blue stars in the window of the Russell home are for Army and Air Force men - J. G. Russell, N. Russell, J. V. Russell Junior, Fred Cox, Bryan Chick, and Sam M'Vay. The last star belongs to their son in the Navy, J. S. Russell. Captain Russell is dressed in a three piece suit and smoking a cigar. Mrs. Russell is wearing a blouse, blazer, skirt, and a clock brooch.
