Description
Sixty-six year old L. G. Williams, is sharing stories of his former days as a cow puncher. In 1897, it took a dozen men three months to drive 3,047 steers from the Bartow Ranch near Big Spring, Texas to Fort Mobeetie in the Panhandle. While still a young man, Mr. Williams ditched the cowboy life and went to work for the Texas and Pacific Railroad. He stayed with the railroad for more than thirty years before retiring in 1943. Mr. Williams is standing against a wall dressed in a hat, button-up shirt,vest, blazer, and trousers.
