Description
Norman Weldon Blakeley of Springtown, Texas could teach some adults about thrift. The three year old boy is showing the six $25 war bonds he's already accumulated. Norman saved the pennies and nickels he collected from his parents and neighbors to purchase the bonds. His uncle, Private Bill Blakeley serves in the Medical Corps and his father is a war worker at Convair. Norman is standing on a chair wearing a button-up shirt and trousers. There is a telephone on the desk in the background.
