Description
Mrs. Maudie Burke lost her husband in an airplane crash at Camp Wolters. The veteran of World War I wanted to do his part in World War II and volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol to teach Army personnel to fly. Mrs. Burke is carrying on with the business her husband built. She has three sons in the military and wants them to have something to return home to. Mrs. Burke is a member of All-Saints Catholic Church, president of the Altar Society, and a trustee of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is sitting a desk, writing in a notebook. She is wearing a button-up blouse and a coat. There is a window, coatrack, and lockers behind her.
