Description
Emmett R. Merrett, Fort Worth station manager, will receive a service award at a dinner honoring him and three veteran pilots of American Airlines. Ralph S. Damon, general manager of the Airline will give out the awards. Merrett is a native of Denton and entered the company's service in 1929 and after becoming chief operations agent in Fort Worth in 1937, was made station manager in 1940. He is photographed in an American Airlines uniform, from the waist up. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 4, 1944.
