They are, left to right, Jesse Turner, publicity manager; Donald Shumake, president; and Barbara Thorpe, treasurer. Jesse is handing a stack of papers to Donald who is standing on the pile, and on the right is Barbara holding a stack. The school collected an estimate of nearly 30,000 pounds of waste paper for the war effort. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 3, 1944.
