Description
Waste Paper Collection contest winners. Miss Vera Thompson, principal of W.J Turner School, showing prize money to pupils. They are left to right, Allen Blessing. Charlene Boyd, Charles Wilson and Linda Krenek. Miss Thompson is seated at her desk that is covered with a variety of papers, books and binders. Her pupils stand around her smiling widely as she looks over at Allen Blessing and holds up the two checks. Allen is dressed in a gingham patterned jacket, while Charles is wearing a shirt tucked into a pair of trousers. The two girls are wearing dresses. Behind them is a wall with a window that is slightly ajar. The children are representing the room which made the best showing in the school contest.
