Description
Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Nielson and their son. The family is posing on a couch. Mr. Nielson will be leaving for boot training with the Marines next week. When he was drafted, he sold his grocery store and put the proceeds, except for a few hundred dollars, into three $1,000 war bonds. The ex-groceryman, who had owned the Henry H. Nielson grocery for four years, already had bought around $1,000 worth of bonds before selling his store. His son is sitting on his lap, holding the bonds. Mr. Nielson is wearing a suit and his wife, seated at left, is wearing a blouse, skirt and coat.
