Description
The youngest bond purchaser in Fort Worth, Texas, is six-day-old Tommy Jack Gandy. His mother, Mrs. Jack Gandy, 2509 Campbell Street, purchased a war bond his name the day he was born. Her husband, First Lieutenant Jack Gandy, attached to a tank battalion, cabled her of his arrival at an undisclosed overseas station day before the baby was born. Mrs. Gandy is lying in bed with her son at her side. She is holding the war bond certificate. Hanging on the headboard of the bed is a picture of Lt. Gandy.
