Description

Staff Sergeant (Sgt.) Edgar Quade, of Sagerton, Texas, enlisted in the Texas National Guard in 1940. He was fighting with the 36th Division in Italy on December 6, 1944 and was wounded in action. He has been awarded the Purple Heart for his injuries. He also wears the Good Conduct Medal. Sergeant (Sgt.) Quade is shown in his official military photograph, wearing his military uniform. This is a copy of his portrait photograph. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram January 20, 1944.
