Description
Mrs. Eris Phillips Haager, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Phillips, will leave for New York to begin training as a WAVE (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) in the Navy's Women's Reserve. Her husband, First Lieutenant O. L. Haager, veteran of 12 years in the Army, formerly was stationed with an infantry unit in Alaska and is now serving on a Pacific island. Mrs. Haager graduated from Paschal High School, where she was a member of the band and orchestra and originated the drill team. She worked for the Star-Telegram and the Santa Fe before enlisting. She is standing against a bare wall, wearing a buttoned-up overcoat.
