The Lake Worth Navy is representing in Italy by the S. S. Fort Worth and Technical Sergeant (Tech. Sgt.) Clarence M. (Mike) Duer, 26, is pictured here. He is a radioman in the Signal Corps. He is shown standing aboard the amphibious truck and wearing uniform. Technical Sergeant (Tech. Sgt.) Duer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Duer. He is a graduate of North Side High School and attended Texas Christian University (TCU). He entered the United States Army in March 1942 and received his training from Camp Bowie. He has seen action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 24, 1944.
