Description
Robert Bruce Taylor, seaman first class, left, and George William Wright, seaman second class, right, are sailors in the United States Navy. They grew up in the same hometown, Alexandria, Louisiana. On their way home, the men discussed common war experiences and discovered that they have taken part in same naval operations. They both took part in the invasion of Kiska, Tarawa and the Wake Island Battle. They are at the Service Men's Center in Fort Worth, Texas. They are shown seated in chairs and dressed in their Navy uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 16, 1944.
