Description
A Red Cross Blood Donor certificate is being presented to Hal Coffman. Mr. Coffman is an editorial cartoonist with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Presenting the certificate was blood donor service chairman, LeRoy Olmstead. The certificate is framed and reads: Certificate of Appreciation to Hal Coffman for outstanding cooperation with the American Red Cross Blood Donor Service. The certificate is signed by the chairman and the medical director of the Fort Worth Blood Donor Center and the chairman and national director, for the American National Red Cross. On the left of the certificate is a graphic of a kneeling soldier with a gun in his hand. His helmet is on the ground and his face is covered in his right hand. The caption reads: Your blood can save him. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 9, 1944.
