Description

Nurse Corps Recruits are front, left to right, Miss Marie Webb and Miss Margaret V. Crouch. Standing are Miss LaDean Poteet, left, and Miss Margaret Gibbons. These women responded to the urgent Red Cross call for qualified nurses in the Army and Navy Corps. Miss Poteet will enter the Navy while Miss Webb, Miss Crouch, and Miss Gibbons are signing up for the Army. Miss Webb is dressed in a sweater and a blazer. Miss Crouch is wearing a frilly blouse and blazer. Miss Poteet and Miss Gibbons are both wearing a coat.
