Description

Football Lufkin High School. Left to right, Buck Prejean and Watty Myers. Prejean scored touchdowns in the game against Waco. Both are standing outside side by side in a button down shirt, tie, and jacket. Buck Prejean paid the perfect tribute to his signal-caller, Oliver McKay, and the rest of the Lufkin Panthers after the team had scored its 25-0 victory over Waco. The Panthers played the game calmly, taking absolutely no risks until they were well ahead, and all the while they were working on a mater plan the was setting up the long touchdown runs that demoralized the Tigers. Prejean has a very good play from a deep punt formation. The Lufkin coach was very proud of his team. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, December 12, 1943.
