Pre-Christmas packages at Ashburn General Hospital were sorted in the Red Cross library by Miss Hazel Kindle, left, standing, and two patients, Private Clarence D. Williams, center, seated, and Private M. C. Willhite, right, kneeling. Far right is an unidentified man sitting on a chair. Miss Kindle is wearing a sweater and skirt, Private Williams is wearing a shirt and trousers, and Private Willhite is wearing a robe. They are each holding gifts and there is a gift on the floor beside Private Willhite. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, December 19, 1943. en
