Description

Dancers who will take part in the "Dance of Nations" program at Texas Christian University Stadium, in which 250 students will participate, are wearing costumes indicative of the folk dances they will execute. The dancers are, left to right, Gerry Browder, Doris Jean Tew, Marjorie Stevenson, Nellross Heister, Mary Laswell Ray, Courtney Wright, Frances Anderson, Ruth Simms and Rosella Porterfield. Miss Browder is wearing a Native American-style costume and is holding a small drum. Miss Tew is wearing a sailor-style shirt and trousers. Miss Stevenson is wearing a blouse with a matching checkered blazer and skirt. Miss Heister is wearing a long-sleeve blouse, floral print skirt and a hair scarf. Miss Ray is wearing a floor-length dress with long, puff sleeves and is holding a tambourine. Miss Wright is wearing a striped floor-length dress and a floral print vest. Miss Anderson is wearing a mid-length dress and a scarf around her neck. Miss Simms is wearing a short-sleeve floor-length dress. Miss Porterfield is wearing a long-sleeve blouse, trousers and a hat.
