Veteran Pilot Takes Bride and New Post -- Captain Fred L. Rennels Junior., who received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medals with three Oak Leaf Clusters, for services performed as a reconnaissance plane pilot in the Southwest Pacific, returned home early this fall, married Miss Jo Ann McCullough and is now stationed at Oklahoma City. He is the son of Mister and Mises Fred Rennels Senior of Bryan. Rennels was born in Foard County, graduated from Crowell High School in 1935. He received a bachelor of science degree at Texas A. and M. College in 1941 and in that year enlisted in the Air Corps. He is pictured here. This is a half-length portrait of him in Military uniform, facing front and smiling. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 4, 1943.
