Waste paper collection. Left to right, A. E. Stephan, Bill Reid and George Cochran.Three young men in the foreground are wrestling with a wire-strapped wooden box stuffed with waste paper. Stephan is lifting the box, and is wearing a light colored long-sleeve shirt and dark trousers. Reid is wearing a stripped dress shirt and a dark undershirt showing beneath it, and he is holding a cardboard box. Cochran is also lifting and guiding the box into an automobile trunk. Behind these three are two spectators. The car trunk has a chrome plated opening mechanism with a handle that turns to gain access.
