Early guests. Opened for service Wednesday night, the YMCA's new dormitory annex, 5th and Burnet, affords 70 additional beds to augment the 130-bed capacity of the main building. C. E. Tippett (left), desk clerk, who served all through the war, is shown registering Corporal Paul L. Puckett, Brownesville, Tennessee and Private Harris Pugh, Senath, Missouri, both now stationed at Fort Worth Army Air Field (FWAAF).
